  • Abstract
    Nowadays, almost every hospitals use picture archiving and communications system (PACS), electronic medical record (EMR) systems acquire and manage patients data digitally, which means medical equipment must be connected to a network to transfer data to the server. In case of mobile digital C-arm X-ray system, the system is generally used in the operating room and is relocated after an operation. The network cable for connection the system to an intranet port hinders the movement of the system. In this paper, we propose an improved method image transmission by utilizing Wi-Fi technology. The results showed that the proposed method provides convenience users by eliminating the necessity of moving the equipment to a specific position for network connection without any loss of image quality and data transfer rate. Based on the results, we are trying to extend our work to other mobile devices used in operating room.
