Abstract :
This paper presents summertime measurement data of air temperature, globe temperature and pavement surface temperature in the pedestrian street in a southern city (Nanning) of China. Thermal comfort and solar shading effect in the passage space of arcade buildings were analyzed. Characteristics of air temperature variation were also discussed. Based on analysis results, effective strategies were proposed for improving the thermal environment in the pedestrian street.
