    The development of C2I systems using an independent communications bearer system has made it necessary to consider how best to address interoperability testing. The paper reviews interoperability testing in the context of experience gained from the PTARMIGAN Tactical Communications System and the WAVELL Battlefield Command & Control System, both of which are now in service with the British Army
