Abstract :
A fast video discrimination system of movable vehicles on the basis of WLAN wireless local network was established. The wireless network terminal around was connected through AP to form a star-shaped net structure such that live video frequency could be observed at terminals of the entire wireless net. Defects of difficult expansion, uneasy set-up and maintenance of the system by using a wire supervising system that can not be moved were avoided, which brought about great convenience for supervision at remote areas or under complicated road environment. Meanwhile, Boosting algorithm was applied in the detection of movable vehicle images. Stimulation experiment shows that the traditional recognition way of vehicle types was changed and the identification detection capability on the movable vehicles was improved greatly, which played an important role in the development of intelligent transportation systems.
