Abstract :
We report on the features of our compact iodine-stabilized 543 nm He-Ne lasers and the corresponding /sup 127/I/sub 2/ hyperfine transitions. The stability, reproducibility and resettability are investigated; the frequency intervals of the resolved hyperfine peaks are measured: thus, the corresponding hyperfine constants are determined, and the linewidth of each main line is measured; the features of the suggested wavelength standard line b/sub 10/ are investigated in detail.
