Abstract :
DV-Hop and Centroid-based algorithms are fundamental methods in wireless sensor networks. Nevertheless, they both have disadvantages. In order to utilize these two methods efficiently, a new hybrid range-free localization algorithm which combines the two methods is proposed in this paper. The average localization error rate of this hybrid algorithm is discussed and the algorithm energy consumption is analyzed.
