Abstract :
Conformal finite-difference time-domain (CFDTD) is used for solving frequency selective surface in this paper. This approach is easy to implement and is numerically stable. Some models are simulated to demonstrate the accuracy and fast computation time of CFDTD. Two common FSS structures are calculated, one is a cut-wire on the dielectric layer while another is a cross on the dielectric layer. The calculated results by CFDTD are compared with the results by conventional FDTD and the results simulated through Ansoft HFSS.
