Abstract :
According to the filtering characteristic of the grounded middle stub E-shape microstrip structure, a compact fourth-order UWB bandpass filter working within 2-8GHz is developed. Using an equivalent for this structure, the filter is designed by cascading three E-shape microstrip structures using short sections of the microstrip line in order to achieve more easily simulation. The filter is compact and has dimensions about 9.04mm×7.7mm×0.635mm.The theoretical values and simulation show excellent agreement.
