Abstract :
This paper presents an algorithm used for selecting when to context switch execution from one partition to another in a co-design Java virtual machine. In contrast to previous solutions, this algorithm is sensitive to the nonsequential flow of execution due to branch instructions in the application. Qualitative results are presented to demonstrate the effects when branch statements are considered for several benchmark applications.
