Abstract :
This paper presents a definition of the “Inverse Sequence Frequency”(ISF) in the DNA sequences classification analysis, a measure of specificity of DNA words in DNA sequences set. The proposed ISF is expressed as minus logarithmic of the sequence frequency of DNA word. The experiments show that ISF as being the global weight function of DNA word performs better than other global weight functions in the DNA sequence classification.
