Abstract :
The paper propounds a new point that Abrasive Flow Machining is first applied in cleaning the leftover such as copper and nylon on the abdominal wall of steel pipe. Effect of the pressure differences between exit and entrance on the cleaning of the abdominal wall of steel pipe is discussed in detail and the suitable technique parameters of AFM are selected. And then an application sample in steel pipe is presented. Experiments indicated that AFM reaches the requirement of technology and can be applied in many kinds of caliber pipes.
