Abstract :
We constructed a laser system for the use in atomic velocity-selection through stimulated Raman transition in a cesium atomic fountain clock. Two extended-cavity diode lasers were phase-locked with frequency offset of 9.2 GHz. The loop bandwidth of phase-locking and phase error variance were about 400 kHz and 7.4/spl times/10/sup -2/ rad/sup 2/, respectively.
