Abstract :
This paper proposes a method of adding a realistic, real-time, water animation effect to two-dimensional images. This is in contrast to most of the other research being done which involves the realistic, real-time simulation of water surfaces in a three-dimensional space. Our method is unique in that it treats the problem as an image-processing problem, rather than a geometry problem. Our animation method allows the user to interact with the animation in real-time. This real-time processing facilitates the animation process by giving the user immediate feedback.
