Abstract
In order to study the Mongolian and North East Asian environment and the changes we constructed a new NOAA station at Novosibirsk, Siberian Russia. The received data are compressed and transferred to Tohoku University by a VSAT system. The coverage of the received station is from Far East Russia in the east to Northern Europe in the west. We made the image database for Mongolia with the cooperation of the Computer Center Tohoku University. The Mongolian image database is one area; 2048 × 1024 pixel for Ch2, Ch4 and pseudo color images of AVHRR. The data are updated almost every week. This database is able to access by everyone via the Internet
