Abstract :
The major research efforts in the area of MANET (mobile ad hoc network) focus on developing efficient routing protocols which assume mobile nodes are configured a priori with unique addresses before they enter a network. Pre-configuration is not always possible and has some drawbacks. Furthermore, a permanent central infrastructure component or network administrator does not exist in a MANET. A protocol for dynamic allocation and management mechanism for hosts with unique addresses is needed in a MANET. This article gives a solution what we do and how we do for dynamic auto-configuration and management of nodes with unique addresses in a MANET through introduction of address allocations, novel classification of each approach in terms of issues and each solution.
