Abstract

Adaptive hypermedia systems traditionally focus on providing personalized learning services. This feature involves the search for content tailored to a given learner. To accomplish this goal, sophisticated search mechanisms are required, particularly the semantic tools. The goal of this paper is to examine the issue of the semantic Web and Learning Objects in Adaptive Hypermedia Systems, to assemble and generate, from a repository of Learning Objects, a course adapted to the needs, goals and preferences of a given learner.
