Abstract :
The electromagnetic scattering from the rough surface of layered medium with circular polarized wave incidence is studied, the formulae of the scattering coefficient for different polarization is derived using the small perturbation method. A Gaussian rough surface is presented for describing the natural surface of layered medium, the formulae of the bistatic scattering coefficient is deduced. The angular distribution of the bistatic scattering coefficient that the incident wave and scattering wave are right-handed circular polarization are obtained by numerical implementation, the influence of the permittivity of substrate medium, the permittivity and the mean layer thickness of intermediate medium, the roughness surface parameters and the frequency of the incident wave on the bistatic scattering coefficient is discussed. The numerical results show that the influence of the permittivity of substrate medium, the permittivity and the mean layer thickness of intermediate medium, the roughness surface parameters and the frequency of the incident wave on the bistatic scattering coefficient is very complex.
