Abstract :
This article shows the increasing importance of failure diagnosis in automated systems. Two new methods for the failure diagnosis of temporary parallel signal-processes are introduced. Based on these new methods for analyzing, a procedure for the efficient diagnosis of defects is described and prepared use-oriented for supporting the maintenance staff (troubleshooter). The essential use of these two methods is explained with a representative process-example of the semiconductor-production. These algorithms were developed on condition to assure the continuing existence of the realtime-behavior in complex automated and parallel processes.
