Abstract :
We report on the operation of a 3/spl omega//spl rarr/2/spl omega/+/spl omega/ subharmonic doubly resonant optical parametric oscillator (DRO) as an accurate 3:1 phase-locked optical divider of the frequency of a diode laser at 355 THz (843 nm). A fractional frequency stability of 2/spl times/10/sup -17/ of the division process has been achieved for 100 s integration time.
