Abstract :
The dynamic Radar cross section (RCS) feature of ballistic missile target in its boost phase of flight is important, because it shows the missile´ s dynamic characteristics which are the key to early detection and pre-warning. In this paper, a typical trajectory of the ballistic missile in the boost phase is simulated. A quasi-static method in conjunction with the Methods of Moment (MoM) algorithm is used to simulate dynamic RCS with the dynamic RCS features extracted. The joint distribution of mean value and variance shows trajectory characteristics in the boost phase and the mean and autocorrelation function better shows the period of missile self-spinning.
