Abstract
The authors discuss the participatory learning model originally introduced by R.R. Yager (1990). They analyze the learning mechanism as a stable control strategy. It is shown that the learning mechanism used in participatory learning can be expressed in a rule base formulation. This rule base formulation is used to provide new learning rules. The Widrow-Hoff rule is modified to include a participatory learning mechanism
