Abstract :
The authors discuss the possible uses of fuzzy models in estimation and demonstrate one particular example. The example given is that of tracking the position of an agile target based on uncertain measurements. Significant improvements in tracking performance were achieved relative to a standard algorithm by using a hybrid estimator based on multiple fuzzy models
