Abstract :
The effect of the user on the radiation pattern of a cellular phone is investigated experimentally. More particularly, polarization aspects are considered. The user is simulated by a biological phantom to provide simple and repetable measurements. This allows to observe the influence of different parameters such as glasses, phone position... The use of near field technique permits easely to have the knowledge of the field in all direction. One result of this study is the polarization analysis of the field radiated by a phone with and without the user.
