Abstract
It is very popular to calculate the thermal characteristics of systems composed of several elements with distributed heat generation by using a lumped-parameter analysis. Such a thermal network of concentrated (lumped) elements is advantageous because of its analogy to electrical networks: the same methods for solving may be used. In spite of being popular, generally this method is not applied correctly for elements with distributed heat generation. In this paper, a correct lumped-parameter method is developed and explained
