  • Abstract
The high voltage power supply for magnetron, used for the microwaves generators in industrial applications is a classical design. This system is composed of a single phase leakage flux transformer supplying a cell composed of a capacitor and a diode, which double the voltage and stabilize the current. An improved π quadruple model of this transformer is developed taking into account the saturation phenomena. It is based on a determination of analytic inductances deduced by a new analytic approach of fitting the nonlinear curve B-H. Two parts of this curve are considered for this analytic representation: The linear region is fitted by a non integer power series whereas the saturation region by a polynomial representation. We present a validation of this new model, by MATLAB-SIMULINK® code at the nominal state, based on the comparison between experimental and simulated currents and voltages. The simulation curves match nearly the experimental measurements. The results from MATLAB-SIMULINK® of this new model are also compared to the ones from old π model based on introducing a set of points of magnetizing curve using EMTP® code (Electromagnetic Transient Program).
