Abstract :
This paper presents the concept of vector periodicity for three basic woven periodicity analysis as plain-woven, drill-woven and chain-woven. The basic frequencies projection approach is presented to calculate the wrap periodicity Ty and woof periodicity Tx , and then we could calculate float length of three basic woven. A actual textile texture image and six images with a clear periodic from brodatz texture database are tested by the proposed method. Experimental results show that our approach can accurately get texture periodicity. Periodicity parameter obtained contribute to the achievement of automatic textile texture identification and quality control applications.
