Abstract
Remote experiments, using tele-operated hardware via the Internet, are exchanged within a worldwide network of partner universities. The example experiment on mobile robots is presented in this paper, addressing control engineering tasks such as process modelling, parameter identification, and controller design. The experiments, as well as the telematics infrastructure for remote sensor data acquisition and remote control are discussed. These technologies offer also interesting technology transfer potential for industrial telemaintenance.
