Abstract :
This paper analyzed the status of current solutions of urban geological data management and the intricate features of urban geological data, and introduced a "control table" concept via the mechanism of view in the relational database. The operation of the data by users and the processing of the data by computer were separated by "control table", it did not allocate physical storage space to store data as a kind of middleware, users would not only be able to view interested data through the "control table" that likes a window, but make operations analysis on specific data. We hereby put forward and implemented a universal solution of urban geological dada management. Based on this universal solution, we implemented customization module of user tables automatically and warehousing module of urban geological data easily. Applications show that the solution is feasible.
