Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to demonstrate completely motor nerve conduction block can be obtained in peripheral nerve by using high frequency electrical stimulation; then investigate the frequency-threshold relationship of the high frequency alternating current (HFAC) blocking signal; and analyze the influence of high frequency signals on the muscles which dominated by the corresponding nerves. The results showed that the complete block could be achieved in certain frequencies and different muscle stiffness actions can be induced due to the different block frequency stimulation.
