Abstract :
Multi-input multi-output (MIMO) techniques are used to provide space multiplexing and improve point-to-point link capacity in wireless communication systems, but due to the deep fading in channel gain, large noise and co-channel interference, the data packets are likely not to be recovered correctly in receiver, thus hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) is widely adopted to enhance the reliability of the data packets. In this paper, we propose an adaptive HARQ algorithm to combat the different factors caused error decoding for MIMO systems. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves performance with respect to its current solutions in terms of throughput and cell latency.
