Abstract

We propose the idea of mobile-phone-number-oriented PN service, which is called ePN. This ePN service is realized by the mobile communications systems and is a service of the e-commerce era. An analytical model is proposed to investigate the performance of this new ePN service on the existing mobile communications networks. The details of the call scenario are presented; the possible convergence of GSM messages between mobile communications systems and fixed networks are also analyzed. Furthermore, no modification is made to the mobile phones, and most importantly mobile phone subscribers keep their usage behavior
