Abstract :
Linear decorrelating and MMSE multiuser detectors need to compute the inverse of the correlation matrix. It is too complex for practical applications especially in multipath and asynchronous environments as the long spreading codes are used. An iterative algorithm based on successive over relaxation is proposed for the implementation of both decorrelating and MMSE detectors. In the proposed scheme neither correlation coefficients nor the inverse of the cross-correlation matrix need to be computed
