Abstract :
This paper describes the concept of optical sensor networks which has been made viable by the convergence of optical technology, wireless communications, polymeric films technology for direct microbial community observation, classification by Support Vector Machines, and digital electronics. It focuses on a new methodology of optical sensor network for detection and identification of biological and chemical agents including various toxins and viruses.
