            Abstract : 
Studies of high power microwave (HPM) sources at NUDT trace to twenty years ago. In this paper, studies of a variety of HPM sources at NUDT, such as the virtual cathode oscillator (vircator), the magnetically insulated line oscillator (MILO), the overmoded slow-wave high-power microwave generator and other sources are reviewed. Direction of further investigation of HPM sources at NUDT is presented.
