Abstract :
The paper provides a review of experimental research on a backward-wave oscillator with a resonant wave reflector (BWO-RR) which provides frequency tuning within 11 %, extremely high microwave peak power (up to 5 GW in the X-band and 0.2 GW in the K-band), and 35 % efficiency.
