Abstract
The authors have developed expert systems for the solution of the following three essential and useful operations: (1) antenatal record keeping; (2) ectopic pregnancy-diagnosis-clinical approach; (3) aids to diagnosis of neural tube defects. This computerized medical knowledge-based system links obstetric records, the hospital testing facilities, pharmacy, ultrasound findings and outpatient clinics. Combining the above information with the factual and heuristic medical knowledge in its knowledge base, the present system can aid the obstetrician and also the patients to a very great extend
