Abstract
Wireless local area networks (WLANs) are envisaged to be used in different environments including corporate and public. This brings forward different requirements on security for WLANs. This paper studies the security requirements for WLANs in the envisaged environments and presents possible solutions for them. A qualitative comparison of the solutions are done in terms of security and practicality of implementation
