Abstract :
The amount of images, taken by digital cameras, quickly becomes unmanageable. The solution is semantic image search that requires semantically annotated images. MPEG-7 is a standard for multimedia content description usage. We have implemented semantic image search web application by using Caliph, eXist and OpenLaszlo open source tools. We explore requirements for standard semantic image annotation and search.
