  • Abstract
In this paper, possible impacts of the environment adaptive running (a running behavior that decreases velocity beforehand depends on road conditions in front of the driver), are evaluated using a traffic flow simulator. In addition, possible effects evaluation of inter-vehicle communication networks (IVCN) on such running is performed. Simulation results show that by running with this behavior, the road capacity improvement and the reduction of the travel time can be achieved. Moreover, it is also shown that by using IVCN these impacts can be improved
