Abstract :
An innovative approach for processing the sensor data of a mobile device is presented in this paper. The approach is based on the employment of complex event processing directly on a smartphone. With this approach we can take advantage of the multiple sensor data as well as additional context data available on the smartphone in real-time. In order to demonstrate the feasibility of our approach we developed an novel Ambient Assisted Living application that shows how several sensors, operating systems services, apps, and external devices can be seamlessly integrated by CEP.
