Abstract
The design concept of a fiber-optic microcell radio system with a dynamic channel control method using a spectrum delivery switch is described. The delivery switch remarkably increases system capacity, eases fluctuations in traffic and carries out the function of cell hand over when a portable moves. Subcarrier multiplexing (SCM) transmission makes it possible to easily construct simple and flexible radio ports. The configuration of the system and basic performance of the spectrum delivery switch are presented. The relationship between the blocking probability and the offered traffic is also described, and computer simulation results are shown
