Abstract :
The road corners´ line-of-sight will become bad in case of the sharp turn or mountain barriers, which make the curve sections become the high lot of traffic accidents. In this paper, an innovative signal control strategy implemented at the corners will be proposed. By applying the “Block” technology which is used in the rail transportation signal control into curve sections, that is to say, setting the “ Block” section to achieve the “Block” control, ensure that only the vehicles in the same direction are in the “Block” section while the vehicles arriving from the lateral direction are supposed to wait in line, thus to reduce and suppress the occurrence of traffic accidents.
