Abstract :
AODV (Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing) a routing protocol is widely used in wireless Ad hoc network. But the flooding mechanism can cause the waste of node energy in AODV. Therefore, an improved AODV route protocol based on cross-layer (CAODV) was proposed in this paper. After whole framework and implementation mechanism were put forward, CAODV was realized by building back-off function and designing HN packet. Experimental results show that CAODV can achieve the same effect with less network consumption comparing with AODV.
