Abstract :
The paper presents the results of studies on the phase composition and defect substructure of a TiC-NiCrAl hard alloy treated by pulsed electron beam. The mechanisms of the evolution of the phase composition and of the defect structure of TiC crystallites and binding material responsible for the exploitation properties of the cermet were determined.
