Abstract :
An architecture for a personal communication system (PCS) based on an intelligent network (IN) infrastructure is presented. Personal communication service is realized by identifying functions such as radio access, authentication, and location registration and incorporating them as service logics in the intelligent network. Call models based on the set of the trigger check points (TCPs) and functional entity actions (FEAs) are presented to show that IN capabilities can be used to support most PCS features
