Abstract :
In this paper we consider a wireless packet data network using slotted DS/CDMA protocol, and present an analysis of the system performance when the power control is not ideal. By using a log-normal model and the Schwartz-Yeh approximation for the multiple access interference (MAI), numerical results for bit error probability, packet success probability and throughput are obtained under various power control errors. The results are compared with that of the equal-power case (i.e., ideal power control)
