Abstract :
The performance of direct-sequence spread-spectrum code-division multiple-access (DS-CDMA) systems in realistic mobile channel environments using differential phase shift keying modulation is presented. The bit error rates of differential RAKE receivers with respect to simulations of the complex impulse responses and measurements in real mobile channels are discussed. The channel model in mobile environments, including the noise of users and other cell interference, is described. A new synchronization technique for RAKE receivers is presented
