Abstract
By changing the total combined directivity of M-sectored antennas adaptively, the receiver accepts multipath signals which can be equalized by a 16-state Viterbi equalizer. The receiver rejects both multipath signals with longer delay time and cochannel interference by distinguishing them from desirable signals. Based on computer simulation results, the performance of the proposed receiver is analyzed, assuming a typical propagation model with Rayleigh-distributed multipath signals and cochannel interference
