Abstract
We investigate the performance of a multiuser receiver consisting of the decorrelator, which is implemented using an iterative method, and the multipath combiners for slowly-varying frequency-selective fading channels. The system considered here is an asynchronous direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) system. Using computer simulation, we evaluate and compare the performance of the multiuser receiver in terms of the bit error rate and system capacity. Simulation results show that the multiuser receiver achieves the same performance as that based on the conventional implementation, with much lower computational complexity
