Abstract
The paper describes a new result in analysis of spectral behavior of a dual mode Integrated Waveguide Technology (INWATE) resonator with evanescent mode coupling. The in-phase and out-of-phase excitations of such a resonator are investigated by numerically on the basis of proper characteristic equations. The different mechanisms of resonance frequency splitting are observed They may provide additional zeros and poles of attenuation for in-phase and out-of-phase depending on a kind of excitation. The technique suggested can be used for predicting location of zeros and poles in a design of dual mode filters based on INWATE realization.
